Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions

Dimensions – Please call us if the dimensions of a
piece are crucial for you. All dimensions shown in our descriptions are
approximate. Many of our items are hand made and minor sizing variations
can occur.

Colour – Our furniture and upholstery are made of natural materials
and, as a result, shades of items can vary. We do our best to ensure the
accuracy of the colour reproduction on our site and in catalogues.
However, screen resolutions, settings and printing can cause significant
variations of colour and shade.

Delivery Timescales – Our delivery timeframes are a best estimate of
delivery times. In 99% of cases, we beat these estimates. There may be
the odd occasion however, where delays may occur. In these instances we
will keep you fully informed of progress and will flag the delay to you
as soon as it becomes apparent to us. We can reserve items or arrange
for deferred delivery if you want your furniture delivered on a certain
date or to have it reserved for you (e.g. you may want to wait to take
delivery until after you’ve finished decorating). Just call or email us
with your requirements.

Taking Delivery – Large Items: Our larger items are delivered by two
man team delivery experts. Our delivery teams will take your furniture
to the room of your choice. Smaller Items and some flat-pack items: Our
smaller items are delivered by courier to keep delivery costs low.
Please ensure you have sufficient space to place your new furniture
and also enure the route from your front door to the chosen room can
accommodate the movement of the furniture.

We do provide an assembly service.
If you need assembly, please specify this when you place your order. We will quote a price

Condition of items on delivery – We fully expect your order to be
delivered to you in good condition. Please check all items on receipt in
the presence of the delivery team as you will be asked to sign for them
as being received in good condition. If they are not, then please
clearly write details of any damage etc on the delivery note and contact
us immediately. If you or your representative signs for goods as
received, but not checked, then we must receive notice in writing or by
email of any faulty items subsequently discovered within seven days of
their delivery and these items will have to be returned to us at your
expense.

Care of furniture – Many items just need regular dusting to maintain
their appearance. Some pieces will however benefit from the application
from time to time of a proprietary furniture polish, wax, or oil. Please
contact us if uncertain what to do. Natural products expand and
contract with atmospheric changes and all items should be protected from
environmental extremes of heat and humidity to avoid splitting or
warping. Do not put hot objects on tables and protect against liquid
spillage, which may leave marks. Underfloor heating can damage wooden
furniture. Daylight can cause colour changes so move ornaments regularly
to avoid a shadow effect. Please contact us if you require more
information.

Guarantee – Everything you buy from us is guaranteed by us and our
suppliers against manufacturing defects for a period for 12 months from
date of purchase. We will deal with any guarantee claims within this
period in association with our suppliers and reserve the right to
inspect an item in situ before agreeing to a refund or replacement. All
reasonable and justifiable claims are readily accepted.

Payment – We accept most major credit or debit cards including
American Express. You may either pay with your card via our website
using the SagePay secure payment facility or, if you prefer, telephone
us with your card details. We also accept cheques and postal orders.
Please note that orders are processed by us once payment has cleared –
we will contact you in the event of any problems. Cheques should be
payable to Beach Retail Ltd.

Cancellations – If you placed an order with us via our website, or by
email, telephone, or letter, the Distance Selling Regulations 2000
legislation gives you the right to cancel your order before delivery and
obtain a refund of the value of the goods purchased, subject to the
conditions given below This right also extends for a 14 day ”cooling
off” period after the date of delivery. We must be notified in writing
by letter or email of your intention to cancel and, in the case of goods
already delivered, we must be notified no later than 14 days after
delivery. You are then entitled to a refund as explained in the next
section. Please note that this right of cancellation or return does NOT
apply to items made to your particular specification in regard to
non-standard sizes, finishes, or colours (specials), nor to items
purchased in the showroom.

Refunds – Cancellation of orders before delivery takes place should
be done in writing by email or letter. In these cases, you will be
entitled to a full refund including any delivery charges.

Returns of items after delivery has taken place – You may return your
item up to 14 days after taking delivery. In these cases, you will be
required to re-package the item in its original packaging or similar. We
will arrange for collection from your address for a charge of £50.00
which will be deducted from your refund. Original delivery fees are not
refundable unless products are faulty. Once your goods are received at
our premises, they will be checked for damage and, if found to be in
original and merchantable condition, a refund will be issued within 30
days after your notification of a desire to return your goods. Should
you decide not to use our delivery team to recover your goods to us, you
can arrange your own alternative carrier to return your item to us but
you will be liable for any damage that may occur during the return
journey.

Errors on Our Site – Very occasionally an error may be present in
pricing or description on our website or a product may have been
discontinued without our knowledge. The placing of an order represents
an offer to purchase the products indicated by the customer and is not
binding on us until the order is accepted and dispatched by us. If a
product seen on our website or any catalogue is unavailable, incorrectly
priced or incorrectly described, we shall not be obliged to sell you
the product.

Order Confirmation – When an order is placed, an automated email
acknowledgement is issued and a written confirmation will be sent to you
by post with details of your address, contact information, order
details, prices and delivery charges and payment made. Please check that
the detail as stated in this invoice are correct. A copy of these Terms
& Conditions will also be on the back of your invoice for future
